My first pet was a collie that my parents adopted before I was a year old. He was the pillow for my toddler head, my protector, and started my life-long love affair with dogs.

When I moved out on my own, a mixed breed of doggies continued to bless my life: Lady, Duke, Max, Ace... They came to me as puppies being given away, as strays, as alumni of the animal shelter.

They became my life-time companions until they returned to the angels to romp and play among the heavens.

My current companions came from a litter of puppies being given away and my year and a half as a volunteer at the local Humane Society.

Since I have discovered Reiki, my doggies -- who are moving into their senior years -- have become even more spoiled with their almost daily sessions of Reiki.

In addition, I have fostered dogs from my local Humane Society who are recovering from surgery. Reiki has helped speed their recovery. I also have private client doggies whose worrisome behavior has changed after receiving Reiki.
